Plan Your Visit

Welcome to First McKinney.  We're so excited that you plan to join us!  We believe we have a calling to teach people how to live and love like Jesus.  Our greatest desire as a community of believers is to encourage and equip you to move beyond your own personal journey and intentionally invest in others to help them do the same.

We love our guests, and we want to make your experience the best possible.  Please allow for us to connect with you before you arrive on campus.  Use the button below to fill out a brief form to tell us a little about you and when you plan to visit.

HOW CAN WE HELP?

Common Questions

Which service should I attend?

Our 9:15 am and 10:45 am services are the same in content and format.  We encourage our guests to choose the one that best fits their schedule and Life Group choices.  Children's classes meet at both hours as well.  For students, Middle School groups meet at 9:15 am and High School groups meet at 10:45 am.

You can find more information about First McKinney Life Groups at one of the Welcome Kiosks on campus, or by checking out our online groups page.

What should I wear to service?

Please dress in a way that you feel most comfortable.  Those who attend wear anything from jeans to suits.  Your clothing isn't important to God, your willing and open heart is!  Come dressed comfortably, but come ready to experience the presence of God!

First McKinney is a large church, so where do I go?

Information kiosks are located through the campus, but you may choose to park in the Guest Parking and enter the doors at the Chapel entrance.  If you have children we recommend using the guest parking near our Children's Building.  We have greeters at each door that can help you find your way to the Worship Center, Children's Building, Family Life Center, or The Rock (student center).  The Connection is an information area located in between the main building and our Family Life Center in the back of the campus.  Here, you can find information on all activities and ministries.  Greeters are stationed all along your journey to assist you with any questions you may have.

Is there childcare available?

Our Children's Ministry takes place in our Children's Building at the south part of the campus.  If you are dropping off children, we recommend you use one of the guest parking spots close to the Children's Building instead of parking in front of the campus near our Worship Center on Louisiana Street.  This will help you drop off your children early and better navigate the campus without children in tow.  You might allow yourself a few extra minutes to check them in.

Grade School (K-5th grades) will have a large group experience followed by a small group experience most Sundays.  We encourage you to take your grade school children with you to worship and allow them to go to a Life Group for one service block.

There is a nursing mother's room in the Children's Building near the infant rooms.  The service from our Worship center is usually available on a screen in this room.  There are also chairs in the Ladies' Restroom near the Choir Room just outside of the Worship Center.

What about Sunday School?

Our Sunday School Program primarily takes place at 9:15 am and 10:45 am through our on-campus Life Groups.  You can find an updated Life Group listing at any of our Welcome Kiosks on campus or on our online groups page.

Here is a Campus Map with room locations!

Where do I park?

Most guests enter our church from the Louisiana Street entrance.  Parking attendants will help you find your way to the Worship Center.  If you have trouble, please don't hesitate to ask them for help.  If you have children, you are invited to park next to our Children's Building in the south parking area at the back of the campus for easier access to this building.  There is also Expectant and New Parent parking available there.

Can I view a service before I visit?

We stream our services every week on our online streaming platforms.  You can also watch past services on demand any time.

VISITING FIRST MCKINNEY?

Helpful Tips

  • The Worship Center is located under the large steeple and our main guest parking is adjacent.  Parking across the street is also relatively convenient and the second best option to easily access the Worship Center.
  • If you have children, it's best to park close to the Children's Building on the south side of the campus.  The safe and secure check-in is located at the south entrance of the Children's Building.  Please allow a few extra minutes to check your children in.  Once your children are checked in, follow the covered walkway that will lead you towards the Worship Center.
  • Have teenagers?  look for The Rock entrance just to the side of the main entrance.  Middle school groups meet at 9:15 am and High school groups meet at 10:45 am.  There's an information area when you into The Rock where can stop and get help if needed.
  • Information stations are located throughout the campus, but the central information station is in our "Connection," located conveniently at the heart of the campus between the Worship Center, Family Life Center, and the Children's Building.
  • Our pastor and staff love to greet guests.  After the service, you can meet him at our Welcome Center just behind the Worship Center.
