Meet the team

JOANNE EATON

Director
(469) 452-6927, option 3
joanne@firstmckinney.com
Joanne has been part of First Baptist Learning Center,  our weekday preschool program, since 1994.  She was a classroom teacher and Assistant Director before beginning her current role of Director in 2016.  Joanne was born and raised in the New Orleans area.  She was taught Roman Catholic catechism her whole life.  At the age of 24, she found what had always been missing in her faith - a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!  On November 19, 1989 she surrendered her life to Christ and hasn't looked back!  Joanne and her husband, Kevin, have three children and four grandchildren.

NAOMI TAMEZ

Assistant Director
(469) 452-6927, option 2
naomi@firstmckinney.com
Naomi and her family have been members of First Mckinney for 17 years.  She is currently the Assistant Director at our preschool, First Baptist Learning Center.  She first served as a preschool teacher for five years before stepping into the role of Assistant Director.  Before that time, she taught special education in Plano ISD and Corpus Christi ISD.  She graduated from Texas A&M CC with a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and Development with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education.  She and her husband, Marty, have lived in McKinney for 20 years.  They have three boys Luke, Logan, Levi, and a dog named Pepper.  The boys keep them busy with school and sports activities, and when they are not at a school function, they almost certainly took a spontaneous family trip somewhere.

TAMMY LAFRATTE

Registrar & Finance
(469) 452-6927, option 1
tammy.lafratte@firstmckinney.com
Tammy joined the First Baptist Learning Center team in 2013.  She served as a 4-year-old teacher for six years, one year as Instructional Support, then moved into the role of Registrar in November of 2019.  Tammy grew up in a small town in southwest Iowa.  She was raised and baptized in the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.  She moved to the DFW area in 1995 and began working for a computer training center in Dallas.  Tammy and her husband, Glen, were married and moved to McKinney in 2004.  In the fall of 2008, Tammy left her Payroll and Human Resources Manager job to be an at-home Mom.  Tammy enrolled her daughter, Miranda, into FBLC as a 3-year-old and graduated from our preschool program in 2013.
